Benefits of GAL Omega-3 ECO
Although the most economical way to get the right daily intake of EPA and DHA is a good quality liquid fish oil, many people still prefer a capsule solution. GAL Omega-3 ECO capsules contain the world's highest quality and purest fish oil, chosen for the following important reasons:
ECO
It is produced from wild small fish with a zero ecological footprint. While the fishery takes care to preserve biodiversity, the modern production technology means there is no unnecessary waste or pollutants - it is also IFFO RS and Friends of the Sea certified.
Cleanliness
In 100%, it is produced from a wild, short-lived, small species of ajoica, whose main food is krill and various plankton. Thanks to this and the pollution-free fishing grounds, the crude oil extracted from them is already clean, but a new, gentle and patented process is used to further purify it, resulting in no contaminants being detectable, even by the most precise methods. There is simply no cleaner fish oil.
Freshness
Processing of the fish starts immediately after catching, with no storage, so the TOTOX value, which indicates the oxidation of omega-3 fatty acids, is extremely low, below 5. On a per unit active ingredient basis, this is the world's newest halola.
Extra high active substance content
GAL Omega-3 Eco soft gelatine capsules contain 700 mg of Ω3 fatty acids per capsule, of which 350 mg are EPA, 250 mg are DHA, and 100 mg are DPA and SDA. (Other fish oil capsules typically contain between 100 and 350 mg of Ω3.)
Naturalness
It is in the form of natural triglycerides (TG), not the cheap, artificial ethyl ester (EE) form typical of concentrated fish oils. Beyond the romantic notion of naturalness, this is so important because ethyl esters are digested and utilised differently to naturally occurring TGs. Since only artificial forms are used in studies, more and more analyses are appearing that show fish oil to be less effective than previously thought. Perhaps just a coincidence, but another reason why we use only the natural form of TG.
Since it is not marked, there is only one way to know whether the product you have chosen is TG or EE: EE will start dissolving and milling the Styrofoam within seconds, while TG will not.
Better utilisation with 30%
The utilisation of Ω3-fatty acids from molecularly purified and concentrated fish oils in their natural (TG-) final form is 30% better than from plain natural fish oils (not to mention the EE-form).
The IFOS, a renowned and strict Canadian body that certifies fish oil products, gave it a maximum rating of 5 stars, but it also far exceeded the requirements of this level.
Maintaining stability
To preserve its freshness (TOTOX) for a long time, we have also stabilised it with our proprietary antioxidant blend, which consists of a natural vitamin E complex (8 types of tocopherols + tocotrienols) and antioxidants derived from RSPO certified (“orangutan-friendly”), sustainably farmed red palm fruit pulp, and from Greek sage, obtained by chemical-free (supercritical extraction) antioxidants.
Dosage
Just 1 capsule of our product per day is sufficient to ensure that omega-3 has all the effects on the brain, eyes and cardiovascular system, as it requires at least 1 capsule per day. 500 mg EPA+DHA are required. An average fish oil capsule would require 2-6 capsules to achieve this, even though they may also have a recommendation of 1 capsule per day. However, to reduce triglyceride levels, a minimum of 2000 mg EPA+DHA is required according to EFSA, so 3-4 capsules may be needed for this purpose (but not 8-20 as with most fish oil capsules).
