2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

6. Google measurement and advertising services
mdvital.hu may use Google’s measurement and advertising technologies, subject to the visitor’s consent. These may include, in particular, Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, Google remarketing, Google ad measurement and Google’s consent mode.
With the help of Google technologies, it is possible to measure, amongst other things:
- visitor numbers and usage of the website;
- the source of visits and purchases;
- ad clicks and conversions;
- viewing products, adding items to the basket, using the checkout and making a purchase;
- the effectiveness of advertising campaigns;
- the events required to create remarketing audiences.
The consent management system may, based on the visitor’s choice, transmit to Google the consent status relating to analytics storage, advertising storage, user data for advertising purposes and personalised advertising. If consent is withheld, the relevant tracking and advertising functions will be restricted or disabled.
Depending on the technical settings, a limited tracking signal may be transmitted even if consent has been withheld. This does not involve the placement of any analytics or marketing cookies, and does not replace the visitor’s consent.

7. Meta, Facebook and Instagram adverts
Subject to the visitor’s consent, mdvital.hu may use Meta’s measurement and advertising technology to measure and optimise adverts appearing on Facebook and Instagram, and to create remarketing audiences.
Depending on the settings and the actions taken by the visitor on the website, Meta’s technology may track events such as page views, product views, adding items to the basket, proceeding to checkout and purchases. These events may be associated with technical data, cookie identifiers, device and browser data, as well as campaign and conversion information.
Meta’s measurement and advertising technologies can only be activated once consent for marketing purposes has been given. If consent for marketing is refused or withdrawn, these technologies cannot be used for remarketing or personalised advertising purposes.

8. Stripe and the payment process
Stripe handles the processing of credit card payments and certain electronic payment methods available in the online shop. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies necessary for the operation of the payment interface, to maintain the payment session, for authentication, to prevent fraud and to ensure the secure processing of transactions.
The technologies that are essential for the payment process to function are designed to ensure the provision and security of the payment service explicitly initiated by the visitor.

9. The legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for the use of statistical, analytical and marketing cookies, pixels and tags that are not strictly necessary is the visitor’s consent, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The use of essential cookies and technologies is limited to cases where they are necessary for the transmission of electronic communications, to provide a service specifically requested by the visitor, to fulfil a contract, to ensure payment security, to comply with a legal obligation, or to maintain the security of the IT system.

10. Data transfers outside the European Economic Area

The service providers concerned may apply safeguards in accordance with the applicable data protection rules for the transfer of data, such as an adequacy decision, a data protection framework or standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission. 11. Managing cookies in your browser and data subjects’ rights
Cookies can also be deleted or disabled in your browser settings. If you disable all essential cookies, the shopping basket, checkout, login, payment or other basic functions of the website may not work properly.

MD Vital Kft. may update this Cookie Policy in the event of changes to legislation, regulatory guidance, the introduction of a new third-party service provider, a new data processing purpose, new measurement or advertising technology, or any significant changes to the website’s data processing practices. Changes to the text, appearance or technical extensions serving the same purpose on the website do not, in themselves, necessitate an amendment to this policy.
