The history of Möller's
Möller's is the world's longest established cod liver oil brand. Founded in 1854 by the pharmacist Peter Möller. In 100%, it was made from the livers of sustainably fished cod from the waters around the picturesque Lofoten and Vesterålen in northern Norway.
What is North Sea cod liver oil?
North Sea cod liver oil is a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, made from the liver of cod from the cold, clear northern waters. It is particularly rich in EPA and DHA fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamins A and D3, which play a key role in the proper functioning of the body.
Omega-3, vitamin D3 and vitamin A in one product
Cod liver oil is a complex source of nutrients, providing both essential fatty acids and vitamins:
- EPA and DHA (omega-3) - support proper heart function and brain health
- vitamin D3 - contributes to the normal functioning of bones, muscles and the immune system
- Vitamin A - important for vision, skin and immune system
- Vitamin E - protects cells as an antioxidant
DHA contributes to normal brain and vision function, while EPA helps maintain normal heart function.
Why consume cod liver oil?
- Supports cardiovascular health
- Helps the immune system to function properly
- Contributes to the normal condition of bones and muscles
- Promotes brain function and concentration
- Natural solution for vitamin D supplementation, especially in winter
Regular consumption of cod liver oil can help reduce vitamin D deficiency and improve overall health.
Multiple flavours - for easier daily consumption
The traditional fish oil flavour can be intense for many people, so the product is also available in flavoured versions:
- Citromos - fresh, slightly citrus taste
- Tutti frutti - fruity, smooth taste
Flavoured versions help regular consumption, especially for children and people with more sensitive tastes.
Who is it for?
- for children and adults alike
- who eat little fish
- to boost the immune system
- mental and physical stress
- for vitamin D supplementation, especially in autumn-winter
Dosage and daily intake
The recommended daily dose is usually 5 ml (1 teaspoon), which already provides the body with a significant amount of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D.
It is recommended to be consumed with meals for better absorption.
What is the difference between fish oil and cod liver oil?
Cod liver oil is not the same as conventional fish oil. While fish oil contains mainly omega-3 fatty acids, cod liver oil naturally contains vitamins A and D, making it a more complex dietary supplement.
Quality and origin
Made from fish from the clean waters of the North Sea, the oil is processed under strict quality control to ensure purity and high concentration of active ingredients.
