Why is cod liver special in its own oil?
Cod liver is one of the richest in its own oil natural source of vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), which the body can use efficiently. Absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, especially vitamin D is most optimal in a fatty medium, so the bioavailability of cod liver in its own oil is excellent.
Natural animal-derived vitamin D3 is structurally identical to the vitamin D3 that is formed in our skin when we are exposed to sunlight.
Vitamin D is not the same as active hormone D - what's the difference?
It is important to understand that the Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in itself inactive hormone. This is only the Source : the biologically active form that the literature Hormone D calls.
Name of the active form:
1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol
This is the molecule that really controls it:
calcium metabolism
the immune system
bone metabolism
cell division processes
How is vitamin D activated in the body?
Activation of vitamin D multi-step enzymatic process, which requires proper liver and kidney function.
Leather
Sunlight on the skin 7-dehydrocholesterol Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is formed.May
Vitamin D3 is transported to the liver, where it cytochrome P450 enzyme attaches a hydroxyl group.
This is when the 25-hydroxycholecalciferol.Kidney
In the kidney, another cytochrome P450 enzyme system adds another hydroxyl group.
This is how the 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol, i.e. the active hormone D.
This is the form that actually has a biological effect.
What can prevent vitamin D from being activated?
Underlying vitamin D deficiency not always due to lack of intake. A common problem is that the conversion cytochrome P450 enzyme system inhibited.
They can interfere with the enzyme system:
certain environmental toxins
liver and kidney damage
certain chemicals and pesticides (e.g. glyphosate)
chronic inflammatory conditions
If this enzyme system is not working properly, then:
the intake of vitamin D3 does not convert to active D-hormone
even at lab value functional D-hormone deficiency may arise from
Among other things, to support the cytochrome P450 enzyme system, Károly Mester created the the Herbafulvo-t.
Why is cod liver beneficial in this respect?
Cod liver in its own oil:
natural vitamin D3 of animal origin includes
provides absorption in fat-soluble form
not a synthetic isolate but a complex source of nutrients
supports the body's natural vitamin D metabolism
Vitamin D3 from natural sources better adapted to the physiological processes of the body, than artificially isolated preparations.
